The universal lathes SJ-430 and SJ-470 are classics because of their common size, long-standing experience, and the qualitative equipment. They are often used for production of individual parts and small series but also for training. Of course, they meet European safety standards.

- main spindle triple bearing (with SKF- or FAG bearing)
- coating of the guideways (Z- and X-axis)
- heavily corrugated construction made out of Meehanite cast
